I did an experiment to find out. I created a quick little site and sent out 1 tweet about it. The tweet was…

@thinkreferrals have you seen this? http://twitterverified.com/

From that tweet 50 people clicked on the link and of those 50 people 44 of them entered a username and password.

That is right 88% of people shared their twitter username and password with a site that they should not have.

Please take into consideration that your account could be used maliciously if you give someone your password. Your followers would not appreciate you sending out porn, virus or spam to them if your account was compromised.

Do you share your password?

Do these results show a problem with social media users? or do you think all users would have a similar result?

I don’t remember asking Facebook or Twitter to do that so they got some explaining to do. Anyways lets get down to business. How do we fix it?

Login to Facebook and click on Profile.

Find a twitter status update on your Facebook profile and click on the “via Twitter” link.

Then click “Block Application” on the left side menu.

That should remove it from happening for now.

Now on to finding out why it’s happening…

*Update* – Techcrunch claims that an app was approved to show updates but I call BS. I never had that set up nor approved it.

Earlier I talked about twitter software that allows you to add and remove followers automatically on twitter. If you amass a large following you can sell these accounts for cash. Here is how…

Create a new twitter account and be sure to set 100% up.

Start adding people either by hand or using a script.

Tweet a few times a day

Follow more people again until you can grow the account over 2000 followers

List your account here for sale.

So far there is no TOS against selling accounts on twitter but that might change.

There is a crazy number of users on YouTube at any given time. That means there is a lot traffic to take from them. To get this traffic to your site or affiliate links do the following…

View some of the most recent video’s that have been uploaded and find one that is funny or viral to you.

Download the video and then upload as your own after making changes.

Make a Title with descriptive words. Avoid being generic.

Add as many tags as you possible can for the video until you can’t add more.

Ensure that your description starts with a link to your site using http://yourdomain.ca as the first words in your description. Hit Enter 5 times and enter the same tags you posted before.

Adjust the middle frame of the video to have a sexy picture.

Do this several times a day to various videos and you will drive some decent traffic to your site.

A lot of weight is placed on the Feedburner Count on your blog. Visitors and advertisers to your site will place value on your site based on the number of your feedburner counter. Of course not everyone will but a lot of people do place importance on it as a measure of how well your blog is doing.

To get your number up there is a trick you can implorer using these steps…

Sign up at FriendFeed and add your blogs RSS feed.

Go to the sync your twitter friends with FriendFeed and tell the script your scobale on twitter.

It will allow you to add a few 1000 friends. Around 200 or more will follow back.

Repeat steps 1 to 3 another 9 times and the next day your feedburner count will be up 2000 or more.

Now that this has been leaked I wonder how long that whole will take to fill.

Please read our warnings about these posts here.

One way that people are making money on twitter is by E-Whoring. E-Whoring is when you solicit sex online and then pass that person off to an affiliate purchase for a live sex chat. The process goes like this…

Create an account with a sexy female name.

Upload an enticing avatar.

Start looking for men to talk to online and entice them to a conversation.

After several tweets follow them.

Once they follow back continue light conversation.

After a few tweets drop a hint that your are very horny with a link to a sample video.

You should have a free site with a sample video on it setup and a link to your affiliate sex video or similar video chat site.

The results of this method is 30% success rate of purchase if done right according to sources.
