Last week launched our 2007 Wrap Up Contest which ends in 5 days. Lots of great ideas have been submitted. If you did not submit your idea yet then there is still time.

This week John Chow has launched his TTZ Media Affiliate Referral Program which pays you 10% of each account you have signed-up under you for 12 months.

As part of the launch we have ponied up 2 monitors to be drawn for. To enter the draw you can…

1. Sign up for TTZ Media. All accepted sites that run TTZ Media ads get one entry. If you are already signed up for TTZ Media and are running the ads, then you can skip this step.

2. Refer other sites to TTZ Media. Every site you refer that are running the ads equals one entry. Plus you get 10% of what they make for 12 months!

3. Making a blog post about this contest and the launch of the TTZ Affiliate Program will get you two entries.

4. Buying our $10 a year Managed Blog Hosting Blow-Out package will give you five entries.

If you do all 4 that’s 9 entries towards winning your monitor.

We have about 38 days left until the end of the year and have already reached our revenue goal for the year. We are about 200 customers shy of hitting 2000 hosting customer sign-ups for 2007. So being the leader in community evolved hosting provider were asking you for ideas on how to push 200 hosting sign-ups in before the end of the year with a budget of $200. The best idea as voted by us will be sent a 22″ monitor.

Rules to the Contest

• Submit into the comment section of this post your idea for how you would get 200 customers in 31 days with a $200 budget.
• You can submit more then one idea, remember that the winner is based on the best idea and not on volume.
• The contest is over on November 30th at midnight. If there are no ideas that are considered viable there will be no winners
• The monitor will be shipped anywhere in the world so anyone can enter.

Hints

• We are looking for a unique idea for how you would get 200 customers. If your idea involves Google AdWords your probably not going to win.
• Remember were not really concerned with revenue with this contest so focus more on how you would get 200 customers.
• Customers are people that pay money even if it is a penny. An example might be get your first month for a penny you get X package, and then where you would promote that to get your 200 customers.

Update: We will announce a winner on Monday

The Bloggers Choice 2007 awards are over and although we were not number one for best blogging host it was fun watching. This contest did bring us up to a 4th position and of the sites ahead of us none of them were true web hosts (and most of them didn’t even blog). That means we were the best true web host blog although I am sure we won’t get a prize for that. Next year we will not be running a contest for people that vote for us due to the question of ethics around this contest.

Now on to the random draw. We drew a name from the eligible voters and the winner is taylorblue. We will be contacting her in regards to getting her new monitor shipped out to her right away.

We attended our monthly dot com get together and handed some shirts out to some of the local bloggers. These guys look Super Bad in their Tshirt’s. From left to right there is Michael Kwan, Stephen Fung, Ed Lau and John Chow.

I needed some tshirts for an upcoming event and needed them quickly.

Instead of ordering them through cafepress I called up my buddy Marty at Monster Press in Langley. I knew he would do a great job on the tshirts and have them to me quickly. If you need tshirts and you live in the GVRD I highly recommend them.

The tshirts are in and they look phenomenal. I hired a local model to show one off which you can see to the right.

My plan for this batch of shirts are…

• Send one tshirt each out to the winners of our tshirt contest. 
• Send one out to Shoemoney because he wears a free tshirt he gets every Friday.
• Provide some to our Dot Com friends at our monthly gathering.
• Give away a tshirt to one of our regular commenters.

So to win a tshirt here is what you need to do. If you fit in to a Medium or Large shirt just post a comment. We will pick a winner next Monday. The only stipulation is that you can not have won a tshirt already (sorry Matt). If you comment twice it will only be counted once, unless you blog about the contest with a ping back which we will allow as a second entry.

One of the giveaways that we would like to create is a custom car decal. The decal will be one that will be small enough to place on the back window of a vehicle (see example of a window decal to the right). We will be giving these away to some customers, friends and family who want to show off their BlueFur pride.
