Auto Direct Message Spam Scrubber

The more followers you get the more your inbox and Direct Messages get inundated with spam. More people are now sending automated Direct Messages (DM) through twitter then ever before. They include affiliate link, links to their facebook, inks to join games and so on. After awhile the Direct Message area on twitter becomes noise and loses it’s function.

Well that has to be fixed. Why lose a feature that is so valuable because of spam?

I have created a PHP script that once installed you can start scrubbing your DM’s of spam.

How does it work?

The script allows you to add as many accounts as you want. You can then add filters like keywords you want to remove. There is even an option to remove all if you just like having a clean DM area. You can then create a cron job to clean our your spam as often as you want.

The script requires you have PHP 5 and CURL enabled (all our servers have this already).
