Showcase Saturday: Minimal Georgia

Published on Mar 19, 2011   //  Showcase Saturday

Just as people may have preferences for one brand of running shoe over another, the same can be said about people in design and their font choices. If you lean toward the Georgia side of things, then you’ll likely appreciate the Minimal Georgia Theme for WordPress.

Developed by Konstantin of Moscow, this is a decidedly minimalist design with two columns of fixed width. The main content is in the middle (with the publish date and comment count in a grayed area to the left), while the sidebar is located to the right. Naturally, you can customize the sidebar to suit your particular needs.

The theme comes with a series of theme options that are accessible through the main admin dashboard, as expected. Other highlights include thread comments, sticky posts, custom colors, and custom menu. It is also translation ready, in case you want to better approach an international audience.
