Showcase Saturday: 300 WP Theme

Published on May 29, 2010   //  Showcase Saturday

Is this madness or is this Sparta? If you were a big fan of the epic Hollywood movie or you simply want a WordPress theme that is fitting for an icon-clad warring state, the 300 WP Theme just might be the right fit.

Clearly inspired by the movie of the same name, the 300 theme is made mostly with a black and red color scheme, evoking the same kind of aggression and emotion that we got during the action scenes in the film. The theme also comes with custom icons that are fitting to the overall style of the site as well.

It features two columns of fixed width and the Cufon custom font has been enabled. There is integrated Flickr support, a built-in options panel, a footer section outfitted with social networking widgets, and a jQuery slider for highlighting different articles.

This theme is certainly dark and different from many of the other “airy” themes you may find elsewhere. For a screenshot, features list, and a live demo, hit up the developer’s site at 3oneseven.com.
