It’s quite clear that the people behind Apple commercials are pretty great at what they do. The dancing silhouettes for the iPod commercials are very catchy and bright, whereas the iPhone commercials do a great job at highlighting the different apps that are available for the popular handheld.

On the computing end of the equation, one of the most popular ad campaigns in recent memory has to be the one that featured Justin Long and John Hodgman as the “Mac Guy” and “PC Guy” respectively. In the “I’m a Mac, I’m a PC” television commercials, we are provided with some fun side-by-side comparisons of the two platforms, showing off the strengths of the former while showcasing the weaknesses of the latter.

How much truth and credence you give to these claims is up to you to determine, but it is clear that these TV spots were memorable, fun, and effective. However, as you may have heard, this campaign has now come to an end. You might ask why Apple would stop with this campaign when it is still quite popular.

Well, it could be that they want to leave that campaign while it is at the top, leaving a positive memory and impression behind for future generations to consider. How Apple will about topping this monumentally successful campaign remains to be seen. If you were heading up the marketing team at Apple, what would be your pitch for the next major ad campaign?
