Some people like having flashy themes with all sorts of cool widgets. They want to have fantastic Twitter integration and the ability to use pop-over and pop-under elements for added reader value. These people would not be interested in the SuperBlog theme, despite what its name may lead you to believe.
That’s because SuperBlog was developed by the good people at SimpleThemes.org. The WordPress template was designed to be as simple and clean as possible, offering faster loading times and an easier user experience. You get a couple of sidebars off to the right where you can provide links to your archives and other content, whereas the main navigation is found as a series of links near the top of the page.
Interestingly enough, there isn’t even a header image to go with this theme. It’s just plain text. This presumably helps even further with loading times, but you could just as easily alter the theme’s code to implement a proper header image for better branding. That’s up to you.
For more information, a live demo, and the download link, head on over to SimpleThemes.org.
