We’ve reached the end of another work week, so that means it’s time once again to see what the blogosphere had to offer us in the preceding week. Enjoy the roundup.
The Simple Dollar starts us off with a great piece on perspective. It is very much true that one man’s trash is another man’s treasure. A friend of Trent managed to get a great leather couch and an antique Victrola for a total price of zero dollars and zero cents. How? A rich person was throwing them away.
Tyler Cruz is rapidly expanding his online empire. He had Movie Vault years ago, but he has since revitalized the site with a new design, new content, and a new marketing push. The net result is that Movie-Vault.com is really taking off. Most recently, he had staff at the premiere of Clash of the Titans, including interviews with the cast on the red carpet!
Jeff from 8Asians.com poses an interesting question. As you may have heard, the census is currently taking place in the United States and some questions are becoming problematic for some people. For example, is a Filipino person classified as Hispanic or Asian? Jeff says that they’re sort of both but neither.
Gary Lee couldn’t help himself last weekend, splurging on a brand new Apple iPad. After spending that much money, he did find a way to save some cash. He made a free iPad dock by thinking outside the box from inside the box. You don’t have to break the bank to accessorize your new Apple gadget, you see.
Chris Bibey recognizes the importance of networking, even if it is with people that you may otherwise perceive as competitors. There are many reasons to talk with other freelance writers. You can learn, you can teach, and, above all else, you have the opportunity to make new friends. There’s always more work out there for all of you to enjoy.
