To maximize the success of your business, you have to learn to capitalize on opportunities as they arise. Just as it seems favorable to run Christmas and holiday-themed promotions in December, we are coming up on the time of the year when children, teens, and college students will soon be flooding the marketplace with plenty of time on their hands.
Some of this demographic (particularly college and university students) may be self-sufficient with part-time or full-time jobs, but the younger set still rely on their parents and guardians for funding. As such, your marketing efforts have to appeal both to the target consumer (the children and teens), as well as the people who will be opening up their wallets (parents) to satisfy the need to “do something” during the summer.
That’s why it may be a good idea to partner up with related, but not necessarily competing companies in your area. For instance, an amusement park may partner with a mini golf course and a water park to offer a “summer fun pack” that combines all three activities at a reduced price. This reduction in price can appeal to parents, since they save over buying the three admissions separately, and the multiple activities appeal to the children, because they get to visit more than one attraction.
Are you doing anything special during the summer months to capitalize on the influx of children, teens, and college students?

Definitely, there are lots of business opportunity during summer and no doubt this time of the year is very active.
I’ve been taking part with summer camp learning programs two years in a row now. I’ve been assisting facilitators with the list of activities they intended to do and I’m helping them make it happen. Probably, another year and I’d be a facilitator myself.
