We’ve covered a great deal of different gadgets that can help in the office and while you are on the road, but you probably didn’t expect to find something at IKEA, did you? As it turns out, the place famous for furniture and Swedish meatballs can be great for office organization as well.
In addition to some of the great desks sold there, you may want to consider a solution like the Signum Cable Organizer. This inexpensive box does a great job of clearing up some of the cable clutter on your desk, containing it all in a simple yet elegant white box.
This way, you only have the one power cord going from the box to the wall outlet and you can place your smaller surge-protecting power bar inside the Signum. Then, all the charging cables for your iPhone, BlackBerry, laptop, and other devices can be stowed inside the Signum. If you check out the rest of the IKEA website, you can see other solutions from the Signum line as well.
The Signum Cable Organizer, as shown, retails for $12.99.

It is a very simple device, but it can go a long way towards clearing up the clutter around your desk. I have always tried my best to hide cords out of the way, but around your computer there are simply too many cords to hide them all. I might check this out next time I’m in Ikea. My only concern is that I would prefer something that I could mount to the back of my desk to really hide.

I’m sure you can plagiarise this idea a little bit, and mount a plastic electrical enclosure of the right shape directly onto the back of your desk. Cable clutter is a pet peeve of mine too, but this has just given me the idea of how to deal with it. Excellent one guys!

God, I would need something like that. I have always had a problem with all the dusty cables behind my desk. Swedish people know how to make life easier. And we use their ideas :)

Wow, I would love to have this cable organizer, I hate all this spider web behind my desk. And it would also prevent the cables from dust. Swedish people know how to make life easier!
