BlueFur Customer of the Week: The Selkirk Sentinel

Published on Mar 14, 2010   //  BlueFur Customer of the Week

Many websites call BlueFur their home on the web. We’ve got professional photographers, casual bloggers, and everyone in between. This is why we choose to feature a different Bluefur customer each week, giving them yet another opportunity to shine and a chance to demonstrate the diversity that a furry blue monster can bring to the Internet community.

Today, we take a look at The Selkirk Sentinel. This is an online publication that is maintained and managed by the students of Selkirk College. The school has eight campuses in the British Columbia interior, including locations in Castlegar, Nelson, and Grand Forks.

As a student newspaper, the Sentinel aims to be topical and relevant while conforming to the highest standards of journalism. This gives the students a voice on student issues. Topics approached by the newspaper range from climate change to school sports. The Sentinel offers real experience to journalism and publishing students.
