Social Media 101 – Hummingbird

socialmedia1011Wonder how some people get big?

Maybe they use an automated software. I have seen a few people use these softwares and the top of the line model is Hummingbird. This software simulates a user on a browser adding and removing users based on rules setup by the person running the software.

The way this works is someone will follow a mass amount of people. Then they will usually spam them using an autofollow DM with some type of affiliate link or ebook.

Then they move on and remove them after 7 days.

This software makes it very hard for twitter to know if it is a human or a machine. This software is very expensive so it is not for the fait of heart. I would only suggest you buy this if you feel a large group of followers on twitter will be valuable to your business.

There are some cheaper versions that I might post about later but they all have some problems with that Hummingbird does not have from those that use these experience with them.
