Sites like twitter and youtube allow you to set a background and theme your profile. If your a business I suggest you take the time to make your profile fit your brand and look professional by setting a custom theme.
A quick and rather effortless way to set a professional looking background is to use twitbacks. You can make a nice looking background in several minutes using an online wizard.
If your a DIY kind of person with skills you can make your own background. Open up Photoshop or your favorite image manipulation software and make the width 2500 x 1800. The left hand side if you want your logo or a picture should fit in the 80 by 500 area so it is visable.
You will need to test your background at various resolutions to see what works best for you.
If your looking for inspiration here is a gallery of other twitter users backgrounds.
Most business people like to let experts do what they are experts in. You can see some great background designers and there works.
