3 weeks ago McDonald’s ran a Free Coffee promotion to capture back a bit of the market. I heard from people on twitter and in my neighbourhood that the coffee was better then Tim Horton’s. I also heard from McDonald’s staff that sales were way up for breakfast.
This video shows the results 3 weeks after no more free coffee…

Hahaha, I was wondering what had become of that promotion. Looks like it was successful, if it got people still talking about it a few weeks later.
Great idea to record a quick video in that spot, by the way. Few things beat on-the-scene reporting!

Last I heard was that McDonald’s was actually doing great with their Coffee with program, and getting alot of new customers from Starbucks to covert over to the new line up at McDonald’s. Really I think it depends what area you live in, because over here McDonald’s is doing really well with their new coffee lineup.
