  Come on Gary, he only created an account for a shot at winning the laptop. It shouldn’t count, the winner should be someone who actually uses Twitter.

  I would think spam accounts would be considered abuse. I have a Twitter account, but I don’t tweet a lot. Still not a lot of my friends on it … not much point.

  Facebook still reigns until Twitter starts being used for more than corporate promotion and such. Or am I the only one who’s noticed that MOST of what’s on Twitter is essentially advertising and corporate “socialness”?

  I find that a lot of companies/websites/celebs/etc use Twitter as something of an RSS feed of their business. It’s become all about getting followers to promote a business or site or generate traffic and clicks and ad impressions. Not so much about “people”.

  At least that’s my observation.

  My experience is that you get back what you give out. Even though I and many people “are corporate”. we are having fun and learning with each other.

  I have experienced great humour, great kindness and also am quite happy to hear about products and services that people I trust recommend.

  It helped Obama get elected, and is social if you want it to be. It is only a tool, for good or evil. It’s up to you.
