Is your wireless router leaving you terribly disappointed? Do you find that when you take your laptop into the bedroom that your Wi-Fi signal drops off significantly, slowing your web browsing experience to an absolute crawl? While you may be inclined to invest in a new wireless router altogether, it may be more cost-effective to just upgrade the antenna.

Pictured here is a massive Wi-Fi antenna upgrade that should help to increase the signal strength and range of your router. This way, you can keep surfing without dropped signals and lack of range. Take the laptop into the bathroom if you feel so inclined (but please don’t tell us that you are blogging or tweeting from there). Available through Budget Gadgets, the same site that sells USB-powered gloves, this antenna might be the best $7 you’ve ever spent.

The version shown here is the 15dBi wireless aerial antenna, but they’ve also got slightly less expensive 12dBi and 7dBi versions. They’re just as large; they just don’t have as many nobs in the antenna itself. Replacing your OEM wireless antenna with this one is simply a matter of unscrewing the old one and screwing in the new one.
