Brrr. Now that we are in the dead of winter, it can get pretty cold out there. You may already have your scarf and winter coat ready to go, but what about those fingers of yours that are about to get frozen? The people at Budget Gadgets have just the right solution and it ties in with your geeky inclinations.
These USB-powered gloves plug into an available USB port on your computer, warming up the cotton gloves until they are nice and toasty. At that point, you can disconnect the USB cable, remove the warming pads, and slip on a pair of extra warm gloves. In this way, you won’t have to worry about venturing into that blizzard with fingers that will turn into icicles.
At the same time, these finger-less gloves can also be converted into mittens using the integrated flap. There is also a small hole in the thumb portion, in case you want that digit to breathe (or to interact with your iPhone). Yes, the design depicted here probably isn’t the most masculine option, but Budget Gadgets has a new version with some more manly color schemes now. Prices decrease with volume, starting at $6.18 each.
A recent edition of Dot Com Pho features these USB gloves, so watch the video to see them in action.

I could do with a pair of these while coding at work, it sometimes feels like the temperature is being kept low to save on heating costs…
I see that you can unplug them individually too, so you can move around the office without having to take them off. Nice! It beats another model that I’ve seen a few months ago.

Well this is the first time I see such a product. I’m sure it can make good sales in ebay.

Wouldn’t mind having a pair of these either. It’s been dreadfully cold. :O

These would be nice to have. My hands have been getting cold since it’s been around -2 degrees here for the past week or two. Downside is, my laptop is starting to run out of USB ports to use up.

I think this is a great idea.
The idea of warm gloves is pretty tempting.
May they never run out of things to plug into your USB port!
