Weekend Projects: Privacy Policy

Weekend Project

Many sites collect information about their users but they do not have a privacy policy displayed on how they will be using those details. If your site collects any information at all about your visitors you should add a privacy policy to it. This weeks project is to create a privacy policy and add it to your site.

To create a privacy policy I found this great Generator where you fill in the blanks and click Generate and it produces the HTML for you. Once you have the code integrate it into your site design an upload it.

Are privacy policies important to you?

  • This applies not only to business websites, but also to ANY websites (including blogs) that run Google AdSense. A new Terms of Service was released early this year, saying that all AdSense publishers need a privacy policy on their sites describing the relationship between the site itself, the ads displayed, and Google.

    Here’s an article about it.

  • Seems Google hates me anyway….lol

  • Yes all the websites need to complete this very important and tedious task.
