Wow with so many of the hosts that have these crazy unlimited space and bandwidth packages I am feeling left out. Here is our Unlimited Space and Bandwidth package that could be available shortly…
BlueFur Insane
- Unlimited Disk Space
- Unlimited Monthly Transfer Limit
- Personal Support Staff available via Cell 24/7
- Guaranteed 99.999% up time.
The cost of this plan would be $55,000 per month. Not much considering you are getting unlimited everything!
After reviewing this I am sure our payment gateway will have a heart attack.
Do not fall for these hosts that lie.
Remember if you pay a service that thinks your a commodity you will be treated like one.

Sounds like an email you wrote me, oh, a couple of years ago. Nice to see some things never change. ;-)

Too bad the comments form on The Lies That Hosts Tell is closed. That’s actually more like the email you sent me.
Regarding overselling, it’s common for travel and hotels to oversell their services, on the basis that people won’t show up. Is this a fault of the company, or is the company being smart by taking into account scheduling mishaps on the part of their users?
On a business-related note, is it possible to load balance between two plans hosted on geographically disparate servers to provide for a modicum of failover hosting, now that that plan is no longer available?

Reading your post “hosts that lie”, i thought lets have a talk with my host. I immediately goggled for sites hosted on my server address and had a chat with my host. I asked the support guy how many sites are on my server?
He said “I believe the rough estimate is about 300-400 accounts per server.”
I said “You mean you have a drive which has a capacity of 88TB”
He said “No idea what the drive sizes are on the shared servers. We do oversell.”
I am pretty sure i would be switching hosts and bluefur is on my top list now :)

Just surfing youtube and look what I found:

Since the video was uploaded, the host now boasts the specs you joked about in the post.
Bizarre.
