In The Sphere: Vancouver in Focus

Published on Oct 10, 2008   //  In the Sphere

While the world wide web certainly allows you to explore international destinations and experience worldly cultures without leaving the comfort of your living room, it’s also important to look back at your home community from time to time as well. For this edition of In the Sphere, we take a look at bloggers from in and around the Vancouver area.

Buzz Bishop has decided that fall is the most wonderful time of the year. It’s during these months that the colours of the leaves seem to light on fire. It’s also around this time that the kids get to have some great fun outdoors. Little Z is getting Internet famous, one video at a time.

Leo Chiang joined a few members from the Dot Com Pho crew to attend the Taste of Yaletown media launch party. They were treated to some terrific food from some of Vancouver’s finest restaurants. Too bad Ed Lau decided to spill his red wine all over the poor stunt actor.

Miss604 turns her focus on another Vancouver blogger by the name of Joe Solomon. He’s a social media consultant for non-profit organizations, introducing them to this wonderful world that we call the Internet. It’s not just Geocities anymore, you know.

Mostly Lisa takes her photography passion quite seriously and so she’s willing to share some of that shutterbug enthusiasm through one of her most recent posts. In it, she talks about how to create soft light using diffusion and reflection. Check it out and you’ll take better pictures too.

Hummingbird604 is not originally from Vancouver, but he is quickly acclimating to our local culture. As you know, the NHL season just kicked off and Raul has grown to appreciate hockey. This is a part of his Canadianization. He’s not quite crazy about hockey yet, but he’s getting there.
