I have been using twitter full time now for just over 4 months and we have over 400 twitter followers. That may not be an impressive milestone to you but in the last 4 months twitter has been a building block to our growth.
Twitter continues to be the number one inbound referral website for traffic. That traffic has brought in new sales, affiliates and members to our community. If you own a business or site and have not used twitter then I would suggest you start.
To those who are following me I want to say thank you and look forward to getting to know you better as you get to know me better. I am sure in no time we will be at the 800 twitter followers milestone.

You know I never really saw the sense in it other than attaining new traffic, but I have to ask how much time do you put into it in relation to how much benefit you reap?
PS Thanks again for the donation to the SPCA PAWS FOR A CAUSE WALK coming up in September… you’re still the highest donation to date.

I do not spend that much time on twitter, maybe 1 hour a week. I keep an eye on keywords that I have interest in, post questions when I have them and try to be helpful to those that need help.
Paws for a cause is a great charity.

Even if participating on Twitter doesn’t directly translate into new subscribers or customers, it can help to improve your brand presence in the online community for future sales and brand recognition. I’m not quite at 400 yet, but my Twitter following has been steadily growing too. (Follow me @michaelkwan if you are so inclined.)
