In The Sphere: Blogging About Blogging
Posted on March 28th, 2008
It’s Friday, so that means it’s time to take another tour of the blogosphere to see what people are talking about this week. For this edition of In The Sphere, we take a look at a few blog posts that, appropriately enough, surround the topic of blogging. You could say that they are meta-blogging.
Zac Johnson has decided to don his Spider-Man costume and do a video explaining why he blogs. For those of you who aren’t so keen on video blogging, Zac has accompanied the vid with an actual post too, which goes into a little more detail as to why he chooses to blog.
Derek Semmler is glad that his blog managed to make a little money in 2007, but that also means that the government wants their share too. He reminds us that we should pay attention to tax implications when blogging for money, paying particular attention to the difference between the accrual basis and cash basis for accounting.
Justine Ezarik calls herself a professional blogger and new media connoisseur, so you could say that she knows a thing or two about the Internet. And then she found a fantastic video of the SEO rapper. Yes, this rap artist has a repertoire beyond bling and hot girls.
Courtney Tuttle knows that there is more than one way to skin a cat, so he describes three blogging business models and the guys they’re making rich. In his post, you’ll see how Darren Rowse, Steve Pavlina, and Aaron Wall have all struck it rich.
Matt Freedman has discovered that Kontera code crashes IE8 Beta 1. Being the coding genius that he is, Matt has concocted a very simple fix for this problem, so if you’re running Kontera in-text advertising, you might want to check out Matt’s post on the matter.
