That white background looks a bit empty, but then, that's probably because of the screen resolution I'm running at (1400 x 1050). The current blue-ish background helps to fill a bit all that unused space. Smaller header good.

The three squares at the bottom aren't consistent with the rest of the design and look out of place. The footer needs work to. Maybe have it slimmer and have a 100% width.
