We are a day away from December and 26 days until Christmas. If you haven’t started shopping then be prepared for the long line-ups and busy traffic of the weekends to come. There has been some interesting news this week in the blog sphere.

When it comes to being awesome Ed Lau a friend from Dot Com Pho is a demigod. This week Ed posted about Futurama coming back. That’s right new episodes of Futurama are in the making and I for one can not wait to see the new episodes. The show was cancelled in 2003 but due to the Internet and reruns the show has a large fan base.

If your a Trekkie or just a closet Trek fan then you will be happy to know that a new Star Trek movie is in the making. The movie has been rumoured to center around Spock and Kirk in Starfleet Academy when they were in training. This week JFX Online posted pictures of Zachary Quinto as the new Spock (Sylar from Heroes).

Yahoo this week announced that they are testing PDF ads. The program will allow you to place ads in  your PDF that are refresh each time the PDF is opened. Yahoo had to work closely with Adobe to make this work and may be a trend in future for big name software companies to have ads plastered in their software.
