Okay I know it was posted here that you should consider adding BlogRush on to your blog to get more traffic. I agree that right now it is probably a good idea as it is still in the new smell stage. Like anything though I am predicting it here and now BlogRush will be over run with spammers.
Yesterday John Chow used our RSS tutorial to show how to bring your top post to your BlogRush instead of whatever you are blogging about right now. What John did not say is that you don’t have to direct your link to your blog you could link it to anything.
Spammers will eventually figure this out and you will start to see ads on BlogRush instead of blog posts.
If you have installed BlogRush keep a close eye on the links your suggesting to your visitors. If you have not installed then I would suggest you don’t bother.

This is interesting. I agree with you that this might happen, but when you say that we shouldn’t bother to install BlogRush, well I am not sure.
Don’t you think that John Reese will do something about the spam? He is one of the top Internet marketers, and if his product will be ruin by spammers, I would think that he will do something about it.
But I am not sure what’s going to happen, it’s going to be interesting to follow the developments.

The only way I can see doing it is by human verification. With 1000′s and 1000′s of users it might be very costly.
How do you think that John is making money from this venture?

Yes, it might be the only way to prevent the spam. But I really don´t know.
I would think that John is earning the money by building a huge list of all the members at BlogRush, and then sending various offers to the list. Or maybe he will start with new
services for the BlogRush members or a way for the members to pay to be added to
more blogs?
I think that something will happen soon, I guess we will just have to wait and see :-)

Very interesting point about the potential for spam. For the time being I have decided that BlogRush is not for me and I’m taking a wait and see attitude.

You assert that John Chow used YOUR RSS tutorial to demonstrate how to create an alternate feed. I couldn’t find any reference to your site anywhere. I did find the same information, basically everywhere on google.

Well when he messaged me asking how to make his own feed and I passed him the link to our tutorial, I had a feeling he used ours. :)

Humm then I hope I can get my contest going soon, as it should really increase my traffic.
