In The Sphere: The Simple Life of Affiliate Marketing
Posted on September 14th, 2007
Thank goodness it’s Friday, because I’m pooped. It’s been a pretty hectic week for me, so it’s nice that I’ll be able to enjoy the weekend, catching up on all the great posts floating around in the blogosphere. You know, like these five posts that I’ve managed to come across in my daily journeys through the interwebs. Enjoy and I’ll see you on Monday with another great gadget.
Oubipaws.org reminds us that blogging isn’t just about making money online, talking about the iPhone, or randomly jabbering about nothingness. To get the most out of life, sometimes you just need to bring it back to the basics and for that, Oubipaws has a four step process. Simplify your life and make things easier for yourself. This is the first in his seven day “working for work’s sake” series.
Career Ramblings‘ Cameron has set up a fictional marketing scenario for you to consider called Sam’s Pizza Place. The made-up business is looking for the best way to promote its signature product (low-fat pizza) to its target demographic (health conscious women) and it needs your help. An active discussion is starting to build up in the comments section there, so check it out.
Ashwini Khare is asking if you are addicted to blogging. There are many addictions out there and a number of them are Internet related. You’ve got people who IM compulsively. You see folks who can’t help but update Wikipedia on an hourly basis. And then there are folks like us who blog and blog and blog. Is it a hobby or an addiction? Take the test and find out.
Etienne Teo wants to help you make money online. He’s providing the 600 highest-paying keywords that you can focus on. Based on the list that he provides, it seems like there’s plenty of money to be made in loans, car insurance, and mesothelioma… what the heck is mesothelioma?
Zac Johnson prides himself in being a super affiliate. In one of his most recent posts, he asks “Where did all the good affiliate programs go?” Zac says that he hasn’t used some of the bigger boys in the industry — like Commission Junction and Linkshare — for nearly three years. The reason? “I hate the way their networks are setup.” One of his biggest beefs is that these guys have a tendency to delete inactive accounts.
Have a good weekend!
