Wordpress Wednesdays: Get Your Blog Set Up For Free
Posted on September 5th, 2007
Everyone has their strengths. I’m a freelance writer and Gary knows everything there is to know about web hosting. Some people are great musicians, while others choose to be nuclear physicists. When it comes to setting up and running a successful blog, there are several steps involved. There’s the design, the hosting, the content, the marketing… the list goes on, and there’s a very, very small possibility that you’ll be excellent at all of them.
For those of you who would love to write and post pictures, but you’re not quite as comfortable with the technical side of running (and setting up) a blog, there is a service available that will get you up and running in no time, and the best part is that it is absolutely free. It won’t cost you a single penny. Now, I haven’t made use of ninjaBlog Setup myself, so I can’t vouch for their quality or integrity, but it certainly sounds like an intriguing proposition.
Bloggrrl isn’t too technically inclined, so she got her Wordpress blog set up for free by ninjaBlog Setup and she seems very pleased with the outcome. If you hit up her post on the matter, she’ll tell you all about what the ninja did and what else he can do. These free services include setting up a professional email address, creating a Feedburner account, setting up SEO-friendly URLs, and installing a robots.txt file.

Just a note the service is free but they are making money from the affiliate links on their site. We do have Managed Blog hosting at BlueFur.com. The Managed Blog package provides you with the exact same services and more.
Install4Free is free, although not officially supported by WordPress, it’s mentioned in the documentation.
Although, if you’re not comfortable with giving them access to your hosting account, you might want to consider BlueFur’s managed hosting.
