We have seen over the last few years that blogs have become a hotbed for the blog owners to make money online. With text link ads, review me and many other options to bloggers I think that trend will eventually make it’s way over to Facebook.
Do you think that you will ever try to monetize your Facebook account?
If not, why not?
If yes, what would you see working for you?

No absolutely not, many monetization attempts were made in the past, but for a public platform like this it won’t work. Match.com being monetized is a bit different and so is lavalife. But facebook is one of those public medium that should allow anybody to join without hesitation in order to grow its userbase.
After all, if you try to look up an old friend and can’t find him/her because he/she did not want to pay the $5/mth membership fee, the whole concept of facebook is useless.
Anybody heard of classmates.com? They have no chance anymore now that facebook is out. They’ve been struggling for a while I believe, putting out shotty ads here and there but now they’re done, and it’s too late for them to de-monetize now. May as well sell the domain to facebook perhaps.
