We have held a few contest over the last few months and they have been successful in building our blog and business. Michael posted on why you should have a blog contest and I added a few blogs where you could promote those blog contests.
This month I wanted to stress that there are still a lot of people that do not follow the blog sphere. We posted our contest at several of the contest sites and found that the traffic from the these sites was almost 10 times the total sent from all blogs combined (including John Chow).
Over 80% of the traffic was sent from ContestHound. We purchased a $39 Feature Contest Listing and the traffic it sent to our blog was excellent for the price. If you are running a contest you should considering posting on contest specific sites.

I’ll have to hit a few more of the contest sites as I am currently giving away 15 t-shirts and donating $1 to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation for every entry received in the contest up to 100.
The contest is running for one more week so I’ll need to get busy.
