I'm not sure if the latest version has addressed that problem or not. A few weeks ago I had a post hit the front page of digg and receive over 900 diggs. My account here at BlueFur handled it almost flawlessly except for a period where my account was suspended until I notified support that the CPU spike was a result of being dugg.
